Anurag has over 23 years of diverse experience in operating, advisory and investing roles as a social entrepreneur, investment banker, private equity investor, Board member and academic professor. Anurag has been a lecturer at Boston University’s Graduate School of Business teaching Entrepreneurship for over 10 years and served on several corporate and social enterprise Boards as a thought leader and investor.
He is deeply passionate to solve social problems using technology, entrepreneurship and business to innovate philanthropy and educational systems. Anurag is responsible for the finance and strategy at JanaJal. Anurag earned a MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurship from Boston University and a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from Pune University, India.
With 40 years of rich & versatile experience in Telecommunications, Pharma, Academics, Agri-Logistics and Water Management at senior management positions, Praveen is an MBA graduate from IMT.
He was actively engaged with the Ministry of Telecommunications in development and implementation of Billing & MIS System for more than 1000 exchanges all over India in the early 90s. He bears a deep understanding of water treatment, operating processes, IT technologies and project execution capability.
Kapil Sharma, a proficient IT Management professional carries with him an experience of over 20 years in leading solution design, Technical support and IoT Tech device development. While having worked for prominent tech giants like ICRA, Jubilant & Shyam Telecom, Kapil has also been an integral part supporting major Safe Water oriented projects with USAID, UKAID and XYLEM.
He has been able to combine his technical, business and financial acumen to collaborate and lead JanaJal’s Technical team including life cycle management and complete IOT Device development, cloud applications & web design.
Ian is an outspoken individual who embodies the notion of being adaptable while remaining rooted to the path of self-improvement. He has run marketing campaigns in the Fitness, F&B, Med-tech and Crypto industries in the past before co-founding his Web3.0 startup shortly after.
He is presently deeply immersed in the world of sustainability where he developed a profound interest specifically in the drinking water sector. Based out of Singapore, Ian aims to passionately and effectively harness his networks and efforts to identify opportunities that can help extend JanaJal's presence in ASEAN and SE Asian countries.
Anju Saini has been an integral part of JanaJal for the past 8 years and currently heads the Administrative & HR functions. Her eye for detailing and workmanship results in her closely working with the Operations, Accounting & Finance teams to ensure regulatory compliance besides managing day-to-day operations.
A graduate with 5 years of experience in customer relations, she has previously served in the banking and real estate sector and is a swift learner championing the cause of Safe Water.
Amit Kumar has been working with JanaJal as a Project Lead for the last 5+ years, managing various social & grant based engagements with GSMA, USAID & UKAID along with managing the Social Media Team administering various social media accounts and developing original video content.
A post-graduate from IIT Mumbai, he carries a wide experience of over 15 years working with prominent NGO's such as MOHAN Foundation along with corporates such as Barclays and General Electric working in Client management & Media Management domain with wide exposure in Projects across film-making, visual editing & journalism domain.
A distinguished 3 star veteran, Gen. Sharma retired from the Indian Army as QMG (Quarter Master General). He has vast experience in logistics and supply chain management and is a highly decorated officer for distinguished service and gallantry. Gen. Sharma is a keen entrepreneur and passionate about empowering the underprivileged.
Gen. Sharma has been associated with JanaJal since inception and besides being an early investor is also the Advisor on Global Strategy to the enterprise. He is an author of repute and speaks at various international forums on geopolitics and national strategy. He is also Advisor to the Board of Global Indian International School (GIIS), Singapore and to Enterprise Asia based in Malaysia.
Hannah is a distinguished impact investor and trusted advisor to pioneering startups in the agriculture & climate technology sectors. With a career spanning 15 years, she possesses a wealth of expertise in commercialisation, strategy and operational leadership.
Currently, Hannah holds the pivotal role of spearheading global engagement initiatives related to water at Bayer. Gaurav is currently the CEO of an asset management company in Singapore and is responsible for managing institutional client relationships in Asia-Pacific, North America and Europe. He is an experienced professional having close to 20 years experience in the financial services industry, working for global financial institutions in US, India, Canada and Singapore.
Over the years he has also become an active investor in the Venture space, providing seed and growth capital to several companies that are involved in concepts he is passionate about. At JanaJal, Gaurav has been instrumental in the company’s international expansion and fund raising activities.
Gaurav Natekar, a former international sportsman who represented India in Tennis for over 20 years. He helped India win 2 gold medals in Dhaka & Colombo in 1991 & 1993 and then in Chennai in 1995. He won 2 Gold medals at the Asian Games in Hiroshima and brought glory to India by winning the team event and the individual doubles gold medal with another tennis legend, Leander Paes.
Through his career, Gaurav received several awards; national & international, including the most prestigious “Arjuna Award” conferred upon him by the Government of India in 1995 at the hands of the Hon’ble President of India. Post retirement from the international arena, Gaurav founded his own boutique consulting and advisory company, Natekar Sports and Fitness (NSF) that helps him pursue his passion to serve his country by providing ‘concept to creation’ solutions in aspects related to sports development, city planning, infrastructure, brand consulting, management and CSR. Based in the US, Rishi earned an M.B.A in Finance and Entrepreneurship from Columbia Business School & an M.S. in Real Estate Development from Columbia University, although he firmly believes (and has been taught well by his mentors) that real education happens through personal initiative and a constant drive towards self- improvement and growth.Rishi has been very active in the start-up community, investing, mentoring, advising and often incubating new concepts. Rika is the Head of Agency Partnerships & Industry Relations for APAC at Google. Doug Vaughn serves as Strategic Advisor to our company. He brings significant operational, financial and strategic experience to our team. He was the founder and managing member of Tricolor Cleantech Capital, an US based impact fund that invested in JanaJal in 2016.
Additionally, Mr. Vaughn also serves as Founder and managing member of Piedmont Market Products, LLC, a designer and distributor of branded products sold primarily through grocery and e-commerce channels.
Having served as the Senior Managing Director & part of Management Committee of Triangle Capital Corporation (NYSE:TCAP) Doug has also been a Credit & Equity investor in lower middle market businesses with 1.5 Billion capital base at time of sale in 2018. He has served as a Managing Partner at SharpVue Capital as well as multi-asset manager of funds including private credit/equity and real estate funds.
John is a Founding Partner of One Better Ventures and the former CEO of Seventh Generation Inc., a U.S.-based, consumer product company. John earned an MBA from Harvard University and is a global leader having led social impact driven companies like Burts Bees and currently Leesa Sleep.
